Zenverge at CableLabs Winter Conference

Zenverge was selected to present and demonstrate at the CableLabs Innovation Showcase Winter Conference 2010. The selection consisted of established and venture capital-stage companies, presenting cutting edge broadband technologies to the audience of predominantly cable technology executives.

The ZEN-powered single-chip, whole-home DVR and multi-screen solution, demonstrated at the conference, is the most cost effective implementation which not only enables all displays in the home to benefit from the richest possible TV viewing and user interface experience, but also adapts content to device and network capabilities in order to ensure seamless media delivery.
Through a revolutionary RUIV (Remote User Interface embedded in Video), the user interface is virtualized in a central gateway/server and inserted into each video stream. As such, all display devices (including those in the installed base) benefit from the same look and feel without the need for special middleware or application software running on an expensive client STB or the display device. Additionally, ZEN enables the gateway to transform all content (live or recorded) to fit the decode and display capabilities of each screen and the available network bandwidth at any given time. Such intelligent, dynamic bandwidth provisioning also enables the technology to be deployed ubiquitously with all networks including 802.11n, MoCA, HPNA, G.Hn, etc., while lowering and/or eliminating the need for rewiring or adding repeaters, etc.
