	Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities: Pre-Sales: * Work with the sales team help in an effective customer engagement that assures a productive and short sales process * Visit customers to promote products, show product demos, discuss technical and business issues and understand the quickest path to a design win * Analyze customer's specifications and provide technical analysis to the sales and engineering teams to ensure the design meets customer's specifications * Provide pre-sales technical support with respect to product design, production process, development, engineering and quality assurance * Write application notes Post-Sales: * Support customers after a sale has been made so as to assure that the customer reaches production status as fast as possible * Test the products and feedback to the engineering and marketing groups * Develop and debug customer code to solve problems/issues General Requirements: * BSEE/BSCS degree or equivalent * 4+ years of FAE or software development experience required * Strong problem solving and embedded system debugging skills * Superior motivation, positive attitude * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing * Ability to multitask * Willingness to travel within US as well as Asia-Pacific and Europe region Software Requirements: * Good C/C++ programming skills * Knowledge of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H264, VC1, MP3, AAC, ITU-T standards * Strong up-to-date knowledge of embedded software development including the GNU toolset for embedded systems (cross-compiler, remote debugging etc.) and the Linux development environment * Understanding of embedded processor peripheral, device drivers, and interfaces for peripherals such as Ethernet controllers, USB controllers, etc. * Knowledge of software quality assurance and testing practices preferred Hardware Requirements: * Hardware interfaces such as PCI, PCIe, USB, I2C, JTAG and I2S * Ability to read and modify hardware schematics * Ability to perform initial board/system bring-up * Expert with common lab tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes Job site: Cupertino, CA Status: Full Time Contact: Depending on your location, please submit resumes with the job title referenced, to: careers@zenverge.com or Zenverge_india_jobs@zenverge.com
