Amir Mobini - President, CEO and Co-founder

Mr. Mobini has served as President and CEO of Zenverge since co-founding the company, and brings to Zenverge a rich engineering and operational background in delivering innovative semiconductor solutions for the consumer market.

Prior to Zenverge, Mr. Mobini served as Vice President of Technology at Conexant Systems where he was responsible for video compression products and was instrumental in Conexant's success as the leading shipper of MPEG-2 encoder ICs for media PCs and CE products worldwide. Prior to Conexant, he served as Vice President of Technology at GlobespanVirata where he led the successful sale of the video compression group to Conexant. He joined Globespan through the $400M acquisition of iCompression where he served as an engineering director and helped develop the world’s first fully integrated MPEG-2 encoder and codec ICs. Prior to iCompression, Mr. Mobini contributed to the launch of several successful products in senior management and engineering roles at Oak Technology and IBM.

Mr. Mobini received his masters and undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Florida and holds 9 patents in the areas of digital media and computer architecture.


Tony Masterson - COO, CTO and Co-founder

Mr. Masterson brings over 23 years of experience in technical engineering and management to his position as Chief Technology Officer and COO of Zenverge.

Prior to co-founding Zenverge, Mr. Masterson was Vice President of Engineering for Conexant Systems where he led the team that developed and shipped the CX23416 which supplies the PVR feature in the majority of Media Center PCs today. Mr. Masterson was also Vice President of Engineering at GlobespanVirata where he engineered the successful spinout of the MPEG video group to Conexant. He joined GlobespanVirata through the acquisition of iCompression where he held key engineering and management positions and helped develop the world's first integrated video and audio MPEG-2 encoder and CODEC chip. His track record includes successfully taking multiple chips into production as well as shipping a major workstation system at SGI and numerous video and graphics products at Apple Computer. Mr. Masterson holds 8 U.S. patents with another 16 in filing in the areas of digital video, computer graphics and architecture.

Mr. Masterson received his MSEE and BSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Raghu Rao - Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Mr. Rao has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in a variety of positions including sales, marketing, business development and engineering.

Prior to joining Zenverge, he was vice president of EMEA sales at Marvell Semiconductor. Mr. Rao was also previously vice president of APAC sales at GlobeSpanVirata/Conexant Systems where he was responsible for over $200M in annual revenue. Earlier in his career, he held various marketing and engineering positions at leading IC design companies including TeraLogic (now part of Zoran), LSI Logic and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Mr. Rao holds an MBA from San Jose State University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.


Toshio Matsumoto - Vice President, Sales and Marketing, APAC

Mr. Matsumoto joined Zenverge shortly after inception and brings to his position over 24 years of experience in building trust and relationships with top tier consumer electronics manufacturers and productizing semiconductor solutions for the CE market.

Prior to Zenverge, Mr. Matsumoto was Director of MPEG CODEC Products at Conexant where he succeeded in generating over $30 million in business over two years. He joined Conexant through the acquisition of the GlobespanVirata video business, formerly iCompression, where he established the company’s CE product strategy as Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to iCompression, Mr. Matsumoto held senior management and engineering roles at Arithmos (acquired by STM), ScanGraphics, and GE Medical Systems.

Mr. Matsumoto is a graduate of the prestigious GE Edison Engineering Program and received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with distinction from Cornell University and took master’s degree courses at Marquette University. In his free time, he enjoys flying single engine airplanes, scuba diving and regularly swims in open water swimming events.


Kent Goodin - Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Goodin brings over 25 years of semiconductor, systems and software engineering development expertise to Zenverge.

He has been bringing large system on chip designs to market for graphics and video applications over a majority of his career. Most recently, Mr. Goodin was the Executive Vice President of Engineering & Technology at Silicon Optix, a leading provider of video processing solutions for both commercial and consumer applications. Mr. Goodin also held executive management positions at Parama Networks, Mediamatics/National Semiconductor and Weitek.

Mr. Goodin holds MSEE and BSEE degrees from the University of Louisville.


Robert Bagheri - Vice President, Operations and Quality Reliability

Mr. Bagheri brings over 25 years of successful experience in manufacturing operations, quality and product engineering functions to Zenverge.

Prior to Zenverge, he was Senior VP of Operations and Quality at AMCC where as part of the executive management team, he was a key contributor to rebuilding and restructuring initiatives to turn the company profitable again. Before AMCC, Mr. Bagheri was Executive VP of Central Engineering and Operations, Quality and Reliability at Silicon Image where he was responsible for several manufacturing and engineering disciplines as well as quality and reliability functions, strategic business direction, long-range planning and technology and foundry selection. Mr. Bagheri also held a VP position at SiRF Technology before joining Silicon Image. Prior to SiRF Technology, Mr. Bagheri held various product engineering and management positions at S3, and Zoran Corporation.

Mr. Bagheri received a diploma in electronics engineering from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics.


Deb Chatterjee - Vice President, Software and Algorithms

Mr. Chatterjee has more than 22 years of experience in senior technical leadership positions in the software and semiconductor industries.

Prior to joining Zenverge, he was Co-founder and Vice president of Software at Xambala, where his main focus was devising algorithms for hardware acceleration of enterprise application primitives like HTTP, HTML, XML, XPath etc. Before that, as Senior Director of Software Technology at PortalPlayer, he contributed to their MP3/AAC music player platform, and as Director of Software at iCompression, he oversaw the entire firmware and tools development for industry’s first single chip MPEG2 encoder. Mr. Chatterjee is a member of US MENSA and his main technology interests are embedded firmware, processor architecture, and balanced hardware/software partitioning of complex algorithms.

Mr. Chatterjee holds an MSCE degree from UCSC and a BS degree in Engineering from Jadavpur University, India. His work has led to multiple patents in the areas of multimedia streaming as well as enterprise applications.
