QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop new test plans/tests for the entire range of product line
- Expand existing test plans/tests and execute test plans/tests (manual and automated) verify bug fixes and help
the support team with identifying/reproducing customer issues
- Perform white box testing of C/C++ code, plus maintenance and expansion of python/perl/bash/cygwin-based SQA testing infrastructure
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering or Information Theory. MSEE desired
- Understanding of software development process
- Expertise in one or more scripting languages (python, perl, bash) as well as programming languages (C and C++)
- Understanding of test design and implementation for complex software products (embedded C/C++, server, and
application level)
- Working knowledge of Windows (XP and up) and Linux
Additional Requirements:
- Prior experience of doing QA in a chip design company will be preferred
- Some familiarity with common audio/video quality issues (clicks, loss of audio-video sync, macroblocking, loss of sharpness, mosquito noise etc) is desirable
- Experience with distributed source control systems such as Mercurial and Git; knowledge of bug tracking systems such as
Bugzilla and Redmine
- Experience with automation of workflow; and familiarity with GCC, GDB and other GNU tools Minimum 5 years of experience
in the industry
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- An ability and willingness to juggle multiple assignments, adapt to fast-changing circumstances, and do what it takes to get
the job done
